Amelis

What this is

A static manifest that the Amelis console and the Amelis Remote surface read at launch to find out whether they are the current build. It holds no accounts, no telemetry and no state — it is one JSON file and two disk images.

Installing

The console and the surface are one product at one version and are always installed as a pair — a surface left behind is refused at the mirror handshake, which is the kind of thing you find out at a gig. Both images are drag-to-Applications.

They are ad-hoc signed and not notarised, so a copy that arrives quarantined (a browser, Mail, AirDrop) needs one right-click → Open the first time. ~/Library/MixEngine — settings, shows, scenes, recordings — is untouched by installing over the top.
